Become a Medical Director with MedSpire Health

A physician network for MDs and DOs seeking medical director and collaborating physician roles, and for NPs and PAs who deliver Good Faith Exams. Vetted clinics, reviewed protocols, and a predictable monthly retainer, with the compliance infrastructure carried by us.

Oversight you can stand behind

You went into medicine to practice medicine. Some oversight roles ask you to lend your license and disappear. MedSpire Health works differently. We build the infrastructure that makes medical direction and collaborating physician work something you can actually stand behind, not something you sign and forget.

Aesthetic and wellness medicine has a compliance problem. Some clinics don’t know the rules. Some know them and decide the rules are for someone else. Either way, the person whose name is on the chart carries the risk. We built MedSpire so that doesn’t have to be true. When you work with us, you’re the named medical director and/or collaborating physician for a defined set of clinics, with real chart review, real oversight of mid-levels, and documentation that holds up if anyone ever asks. We handle the MSO-PC structure, the compliance monitoring, and the operational scaffolding. You handle the clinical judgment. That line stays clean.

We work with MDs, DOs, ARNPs, PAs, and DNPs across med spas, aesthetic clinics, weight-loss practices, and telehealth providers. If you’ve been circling this kind of work and haven’t found a structure you trust, this is worth twenty minutes of your time. Fill out the discovery form below. Tell us your license, your state(s), and your specialty. We’ll tell you honestly whether there’s a fit, and what the role actually looks like if there is.

Why physicians work with MedSpire

Your license and experience is the asset. We treat it that way.

Every clinic is screened on entity status, ownership, practitioner licensure, and scope-of-practice posture before we attach a physician’s name to it. Protocols and standing orders are reviewed by MedSpire’s clinical council of MDs, DOs, ARNPs, PAs, and DNPs, so you sign on to documents vetted by practicing clinicians rather than authoring them on a deadline. Licensure tracking, protocol delivery, and signed provider acknowledgments run on a dedicated compliance platform, so if a board ever asks where the documentation is, it exists and we can produce it.

Professional liability coverage built for the work

The physician-owned entity you contract with carries professional liability coverage that responds to the medical director oversight, collaborating physician, and GFE work performed under your agreement. Policy scope reflects what aesthetic and wellness practices actually deliver today, including IV therapy, GLP-1 weight management, and hormone therapy, the lines of coverage insurance carriers often carve out.

Predictable, scalable income

Each clinic engagement pays a defined monthly retainer decoupled from the clinic’s revenue. Billing and collections are handled by us; you never chase a clinic for payment. Add clinics as your bandwidth allows.

You never own a PC

Some programs ask the physician to own the professional entity and carry the formation, governance, and maintenance burden that comes with it. We don’t. MedSpire operates the professional entities; you sign an independent contractor oversight agreement per clinic, prepared with compliance advice from ByrdAdatto. Each contract stands alone, so an issue at one clinic stays at that clinic, and you can step away from any engagement with 60 days’ notice.

Clinics come to you

We run the marketing engine, qualify the clinics, and match them to physicians by state license, specialty fit, and state compliance requirements. By the time a contract reaches you, the clinic has been vetted and prepared to operate under protocols reviewed by our clinical council.

Common questions

Am I employed by MedSpire?

No. You contract as a 1099 independent contractor with a physician-owned professional entity in your state. No employment relationship, no W-2.

Do I need to own a professional corporation?

No. MedSpire operates all professional entities delivering services in the network. You never need to form, own, or maintain one on our clinics behalf.  Of course your own entity for receiving contract funds may be a professional entity that you operate.

What does the time commitment look like?

Typical engagements involve regular check-ins with the clinic, patient chart review and sign-off, training program reviews, and availability for clinical questions. Most physicians manage each clinic on a few hours a month.

Do I have to perform Good Faith Exams?

No. GFEs are delivered through dedicated GFE teams we operate, so medical directors are never the bottleneck on a clinic’s patient volume.

Can I add or drop clinics over time?

Yes. Each contract is independent. Add clinics as bandwidth allows; step away from any engagement with 60 days’ notice.

What states do you operate in?

We are currently operating in most states and growing. If you’re licensed in a state we haven’t entered yet, tell us; your license may be the reason we enter it.

How it works

  • 1. Intro call: a short conversation about your state licenses and areas of clinical expertise, and to answer questions about how MedSpire works
  • 2. Credentialing: we verify license status and board standing
  • 3. Match and contract: we pair you with a vetted clinic that fits, and you execute an oversight agreement with our in-state physician-owned entity

4. Go live: Onboarding with the clinic and their providers, protocols acknowledged, monthly retainer begins, and you participate in periodic check-ins with the clinic, chart reviews, and oversight of provider training
